What exactly is a bucket list? A bucket list is a list that can include anything from your dreams, goals, and life experiences. A bucket list is simply a list of things you want to experience before you die. That’s right! Your date to reach these goals is before the time of your death. Obviously, none of us can predict the time – so, I would like to encourage you to assign reasonable timing to each item on your list. Now, in the movie, these newfound friends set out together to clear their list. You can do this assignment solo or with a team member. The choice is completely yours.
Below are five of my bucket list items that I would like to share with you. I encourage each reader to share a few of their list items in the comments section. Who knows? You may have something that someone would like to add to their list and vice versa. A bucket list is a good tool for allowing us to have a purpose in this life or find your purpose. You are constantly working towards a specific set of goals and thus not getting caught up in the monotony of day-to-day life. Your list can have as many items as you deem appropriate.
Charise’s Bucket List
- Write a book
- Travel to France
- Take dance classes (a variety of styles)
- Study French (reference item 2)
With any objective, you have to do more than just put pen to paper. You have to actively work towards pursuing and attaining your goals. Case in point, I know that I will not visit France until after my child completes his education. There are steps that I can take right now to effectively achieve this goal. I can research places that I would like to visit during my retreat. For example, I can plan to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum. Also, I can estimate my costs and set up a ‘France Travel Fund’ in order to have adequate funding available at the time of my venture. Remember, we are working towards each goal with an end in mind.
Feel free to revise and edit your list as many times as you deem possible. Are you up to the challenge?
